Features

  • Assets List - KITe UHD Authoring Suite allows users to import assets using 4 main stream types in the form of files: Video, Audio, Menu and Subtitles. The assets list is the source of all the elements used in your work. Every asset file used must first be opened and shown in the assets list. Filling the assets list is the first stage of the work.
  • Properties Window - a special Properties Viewer shows all the important properties of every video or audio file selected in the assets list. You can see parameters such as File Size, Video Format, Horizontal and Vertical size, Aspect ratio, Bit Rate, Frame Rate, Profile, Sample Frequency, Number of Channels and Duration.
  • Clip List - a special window that shows the list of clips. A clip is a special BD element that connects video, audio, menu and subtitle streams in a single track. There are several clip types according to the BD specification: Main Movie, Slideshow, Audio, Menu and several more. KITe allows you to create any type of clip using the Clip List window in the user interface. Clip creation is step 2 in the BD authoring process.
  • PlayLists - allows you to create any clip combination or sequence. The PlayList is also a standard BD specification element. Here you can construct your own PlayList from different types of PlayItems, SubPath, SubPlayItems or TimeMarks. The PlayList Editor allows you to change any field manually.
  • Titles List - this window shows the list of all BD titles. You can also see the TopMenu and FirstPlay elements here. You can add or delete any BD title.
  • Clip Editor - this user interface element allows you to visualize any clip from the Clip List as separate video/audio streams. You can change the start offsets for audio and subtitle streams here. There is useful information here too, such as stream durations, filenames and assigned languages.
  • MovieObjects - you can create your own MovieObject and use it in any way according to the BD specification. You can write standard BD navigation commands and check that they are correct. The navigation command editor highlights command names and parameters in different colors. This reduces the possibility of errors when writing navigation commands.
  • BD schema - a complex element that represents a map of the BD. It shows all elements as visual rectangles on a single panel. The BD schema shows Titles, MovieObjects, PlayLists, PlayItems, SubPath and SubPlayItems. It also shows all the connections between these elements. You can move, resize and select any element on the BD schema. This approach allows a BD to be created as an alternative to using the Clip/PlayList/Title editors. You just need to open the pop-up menu by clicking the right mouse button and then select the appropriate menu item, such as "Create Title" or "Link to PlayList".
  • BD import - use this function for importing any existing BD into KITe UHD Authoring Suite. Later you can work with this BD as with an ordinary project file.
  • EasyBD projects import - open a project file from EasyBD, our previous-generation authoring tool, and convert it to a KITe project.
  • Import an existing IES file - if you created your menu using IG Editor, or have an IG file demuxed by BD Demuxer, you can use that file simply by adding it to the Assets List. You can create or edit even the most complex interactive menu in accordance with the BD specification using IG Editor.
  • Create a professional Java menu using the KITe Java tool - create a complete, fully functional UHD BD with a Java-based menu, transparently to the user. An enhanced yet powerful user interface that does not require any special knowledge of Java programming.
  • Checking the validity of Video/Audio/IES files - the program allows you to check that the files used conform to the BD specification. KITe UHD Authoring Suite cannot mux out-of-spec or broken files, so you will receive an error message for any such unsuitable file.
  • Step-by-step Blu-ray construction to the BD specification - KITe constructs BDs strictly as defined in the Blu-ray Disc specification. That is why the program can be used by anyone familiar with the BD specification. This helps to avoid errors and incompatibilities during BD construction.
  • BDCMF export function - KITe UHD Authoring Suite generates BDCMF and all special data files for professional authoring.
