IG Editor features
- Import previously compiled and demuxed IES stream files (*.ies) — IG Editor can import or export any existing IES file, regardless of where it was created or even how it was demuxed. After the import, you can change and/or add any menu elements, including buttons, effects, commands or the whole page.
- Import and export Sonic Scenarist Designer files (*.designer) — using IG Editor, you do not need to restrict yourself to opening IES files; you can also use an existing menu template from Scenarist Designer.
- Import and export Scenarist and DoStudio Photoshop files (*.PSD) — using IG Editor, you do not need to restrict yourself to opening IES files; you can also use an existing menu template from Photoshop.
- Using *.PNG, *.BMP or *.JPG images for buttons — when creating buttons for your menu, you can use several image formats. Any image will be re-coded and converted into the internal format used in the interactive menu.
- Export IES into a Sonic Scenarist BD project file — if you have created a complex menu or used unusual features when programming your navigation commands, Scenarist cannot always load such menus manually. For these cases, IG Editor has a function that creates a Sonic Scenarist project file with the menu already inserted.
- Checking the correctness of the IES file — the program allows you to check that IES files conform to the BD specification. You can also fix anything manually in the event of an error.
- Button audio editor for the sound.bdmv file — clicking the interactive menu button for sound lets you manage the sound effects for buttons and opens the special editor for the "sound.bdmv" file. The Sound Editor does not affect the existing structure, so you can add new sounds at any time.
- Import and export button images — IG Editor allows you to save the images of interactive menu buttons to a file. You can also change the image on any menu button using the "import image" function. This is useful, for example, when you need to change the graphic on a menu button.
- Palette calculation for new images — after you add a new menu button image, the program can recalculate the palette using a color optimization algorithm. This algorithm selects the colors that are closest to those of the original image.
- Visualization of buttons on a menu page in every state — you can see how the menu will look in all three button states (normal, active and selected).
- Navigation commands editor with syntax highlighting — when programming button behavior using navigation commands, the editor highlights command names and parameters in different colors. This reduces the possibility of making an error when writing navigation commands.
- Background image insertion for better page visualization — this function helps you position buttons more accurately at design time. It also helps you to see how your design will look in the finished interactive menu.
- Step-by-step interactive menu construction, very close to the BD specification — IG Editor constructs the parts of a menu that are strictly defined in the Blu-ray Disc specification. That is why the program can be used by anyone familiar with the BD specification. It also helps to avoid errors and incompatibilities during menu construction.
- Import/Update Photoshop PSD files — allows you to create graphics using professional software such as Photoshop. The Update function keeps the entire menu structure, including navigation commands and links between buttons, while changing only the graphic content of your menu. This saves you time when producing a new version of a menu.
- Effects creation — use the Effects wizard to create "Fade" and "Cropping" effects in seconds. Effects always make your menu more interesting and enjoyable for the user.
